Coffee & Tea

  • La Colombe Torrefaction

They do a mean brew. Surprisingly, it's tough to find good coffee here in NYC, but this place always comes through. If I'm not in there grabbing a cup, I'm buying grounds to brew at the office/home. This particular location has a great vibe.

  • Pi Greek Bakerie

I love this place more for its vibes than anything else. They offer a great bite to eat and a pretty good brew, but nothing beats the SoHo people-watching.

  • Topman

They bring some much needed reevaluation of men's fashion for American shoppers. While it can be bright, they maintain a nice, straight-forward design sense that I can really appreciate, for the most part.

  • AllSaints

I love the vibe in this place, a bit grungy but high-end. They use high quality materials and can really hit the mark more often than not. Their styles vary drastically at times, but that's why I always return.

  • Jeffrey's Grocery

Brunch brunch brunch - that's the reason to eat here. Solid West Village vibes and a super laid back space. The menu never lets you down, nor do the specials. I love the beer chaser that comes with the Bloody Mary!

  • Buvette

Atmosphere. The food and wine selection here is good, but nothing beats a chill evening sitting at the bar here on a date night. I love coming here.

  • Lederhosen

I come here for the Weissbier and the bartenders. While they particularly enjoy me because I've been a loyal customer for years, this is a such an easy go to. On the nights that dinner doesn't seem to make it on the books, the serve up some great bratwursts.

  • Doma Na Rohu

On the more relaxed side, this is a restaurant with a beer/wine bar that feels almost Alpine. The staff are lovely and the music is generally always spot on.

  • A Time Ago

The Met's efforts embodied in this building are truly commendable. The historical artifacts throughout are so interesting, and the grounds are beautiful. It's pretty far North for most city-dwellers, but it's well worth the ride.
