Coffee & Tea

  • Kávé Espresso Bar

The atmosphere is great, dark woods, but airy and light at the same time. It has an outdoor patio seating space as well. Only a block away from my place in Bushwick. I’m all about representing and promoting my neighborhood! And in the spring they filled up the whole space with cherry blossoms and it was incredible.

  • Blue Bottle Coffee

Delicious coffee, and I love sitting at the open windows that face onto the street. Good people watching.

  • A&G Merch

A modern mid century furniture store that can be pretty affordable. We bought a rad stainless steel floor lamp from there.

  • Catbird

Prettiest jewelry. If I could buy everything in there, I would.

  • Russ & Daughters

My favorite food in the whole wide world is smoked salmon, and they have got the *best* smoked salmon. Its a NY institution thats been around since 1914. When you go inside, they cut off the salmon fresh from the slab of fish! (im sure theres a classier way to say that). It’s an appetizer shop, so you can’t sit down and eat, but you’ll get the best bagel with smoked salmon there.

  • Marlow & Sons

Everything there is good. Love the atmosphere in the restaurant, and the cafe style seating outside makes you feel like you’re in Europe. Sounds funny, but I had the best brick chicken ever there. Great date night spot.

  • The Narrows

Delicious cocktails! Nice intimate decor with long bar inside thats reminiscent of an older french bar. Also nice outdoor seating area when the weather is nice. $1 oysters all day until 7. And they have one of my favorite drink specials - Sol beer and a shot of jalepeno tequila for $6. And really delicious french fries there. Oh, and its also in Bushwick, so double yay!

  • Union Pool

DJ sets, old school photobooth, taco truck outside. Awesome.

  • Biking all around Brooklyn and Manhattan

It’s one of my favorite things to do with my husband on weekends or evenings, we bike to different bars or restaurants and get a drink. In my opinion one of the best ways to get around the city, and learn the city.

  • Going to Coney Island during the off season

I went earlier this year in the middle of winter, and it was so quiet. Oceans in the winter look cool to me.
