Coffee & Tea

  • Boba Guys

Fresh from the west coast Boba Guys has a great small menu that won't leave you feeling overwhelmed, a menu that explains your options clearly, and great service. My Top Favs: Hong Kong Style Tea, Classic Tea and so on. Honestly, they're all good.

Shopping

  • The Mall at Bay Plaza

The new mall has a lot of great places inside like Forever21, H&M, GAP and so on. If you want to eat there are several restaurants plus the food court on the 3rd floor.

Food

  • Com Tam Ninh Kieu

This place is totally authentic, no Asian fusion (not that Asian fusion is a bad thing), the food is so good, and it's a great place in an unexpected area. If you live in the Bronx and you're in the mood for some Pho go here :D

Adventures

  • Reading Day at Barnes & Noble

As one of the only bookstores in the Bronx, this BN is right across the street from the mall. It has a Starbucks with a spacious seating area. It's cozy like a BN should be filled with novels, comics, magazines, and more.

  • Special Events at Bronx Museum

Once I went to the Bronx Museum to watch a film (for free) about beatboxers and how its history in the Bronx and around the world. It was really interesting, and some of the famous beatboxers in the film were at the Museum for some Q/A. After there was free rum in a can(so good), beers, and snacks. It's a great space, the museum's architecture is so modern and sleek compared to its more urban surroundings like a lot of NYC.
